Anthem for the Year 2000 is the highest charting single by Australian alternative rock band, Silverchair.
Their 3rd album, Neon Ballroom (1999) became the group's most successful album in Europe and South America. In 2007, Johns ( Band's vocal/guitarist ) stated "To me, I honestly feel like our first record was Neon Ballroom. I don't feel like our first two albums were Silverchair."
